El Tianguis (el-tee-ahn-geese, a traditional Mexican or Central American open-air market) de Westwood is being developed in response to Westwood’s long-term desire for a visible and accessible space to serve local vendors in the community. This market supports individuals left out of traditional economic opportunities and whose infrastructure and operations will support and sustain food system resiliency, economic opportunity, and cultural celebration.

El Tianguis will accommodate 18 vendors/markets with local food and art; ensure that fresh, healthy, and culturally relevant food is central to every market; and exhibit weekly live performances from musicians on an elevated stage/patio. The Radian team is developing the building + site design of the open-air market, leading client coordination + project management tasks, and creating branding graphics + guidelines for the project.
