About the Graphics & Marketing Contractor Role
Radian is seeking a talented and adaptable Graphics & Marketing Contractor to support our team on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong visual design skills who can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling, and culturally relevant graphics.
This contractor will support a range of design and communications needs, from large graphic reports to social media content and community engagement materials. Our work often requires balancing clarity, accessibility, and visual storytelling for diverse audiences.
Typical Scope of Work
- Design and layout of large graphic reports (InDesign-heavy)
- Creation of social media graphics and campaigns
- Development of community engagement materials (boards, posters, activities)
- Support with newsletters and website updates
- Graphic support for presentations and proposals
- Assistance with branding and visual storytelling across projects
Community Engagement Support (Bonus)
- Support at occasional in-person engagement events
- Help with event setup and breakdown
- Assist with visual facilitation or interactive activities
- Contribute to document translation or interpretation (if bilingual)
Desired Qualifications & Preferences
Core Qualifications (Required)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially:
- InDesign
- Illustrator
- Photoshop
- Demonstrated experience creating clean, modern, and culturally relevant graphics
- Strong layout and typography skills, especially for report design
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and responsiveness as a contractor
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with architectural or planning-related graphics
- Familiarity with:
- Revit
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- GIS
- Experience working with community-based or mission-driven organizations
- Bilingual (Spanish strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting community engagement processes
- Experience in visual and graphic accessibility best practices
- Professional photography skills for engagement events
