During the RNO Equity Toolkit Pilot, Radian partnered with two Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNOs) —West Colfax Association of Neighbors (WeCAN) and Villa Park Neighborhood Association (VPNA)— to develop community specific equity action plans to address the needs and desires of the community.
Based on the findings and recommendations in the pilot project, Radian has found that each neighborhood requires a tailored approach to build diversity, equity, and representation within their associated RNOs. This second phase of the RNO Equity Toolkit aims to tackle challenges and barriers that keep RNOs from accurately representing the diversity in their neighborhoods.
RNO Equity Toolkit Phase II will focus on supporting up to nine neighborhood RNOs in West Denver to fund, implement, test, and iterate tailored recommendations to increase diverse representation, participation, and decision-making in RNOs. Radian will administer a grant program with grant writing assistance for qualified RNOs in the West Denver area to achieve their budgeted goals outlined in their equity action plan.
